Transforming Conflict
The Mighty HeartÂź
Providing new skills to resolve conflict
Global and local challenges are increasingly urgent. New skills are required to resolve these challenges. The Mighty HeartÂź course offers these skills that help each one of us to transform the sense of loss, tension and overload that so many people are feeling today. Skills that enable us to listen, to turn anger into a fuel for change, to face our own internal critic, to develop the presence needed in a crisis, to take a stand on key issues, to consult the wisdom of the heart. These skills are so effective that they help individuals, community leaders and activists to calm tensions, build confidence and find solutions to conflict in families, communities and even countries.
We are being challenged at every level to find ways to manage disagreement constructively. The Mighty Heart course provides straightforward, wise ways to transform frustration and misunderstanding into communication that is clear and effective. We learn to develop real collaboration to resolve community tension as well as family disagreement. Using these skills we can transform frustration into action enabling us to be in service to positive impact in the world. Over the years I have observed how these skills have empowered leaders to transform tough conflicts into practical action for change. It warms my heart to see families as well as communities find connection and resolution using these precious methods. Applications are now open for our next course, starting February 2026. For information about the organisation and courses offered see The Mighty Heart website.

When we own the loss, the grief, and the anger in our lives, we can discover and tap into a vast energy for change.
Train yourself to have the kind of innate presence that not only can de-fuse a tense situation, but can actually save lives.
Actually listening to someone you disagree with or dislike can reveal a goldmine of vital information that you can use to prevent and resolve conflict.
Left-brain linear thinking is obsessed with measurement, results, and âwinningâ. The right brain supplies balance by seeing the whole picture and using compassion to find solutions that benefit all.
To enable those of us (90% of us) who are plagued by Imposter Syndrome, to transform this inner critic into an ally, and even a guide.
When thereâs an issue you care about, learn to be able to stand up and deliver your message with courage, clarity, presence and purpose.
We can turn the power of our anger into an internal fuel that gives us the energy to put right cruelty and injustice.
The mantra of last century was âwhat can I get?â but the new passion is âwhat can I give?â. Be part of the millions worldwide who have decided to get action and build a safer future.

The Mighty Heart in Action
Donât die before you take a stand
A moving testimonial from Kayoko Nemoto
During the recent Mighty Heart online course, these words hit me like lightning â âDonât die before you take a standâ â clear, fierce, undeniable. That moment became the turning point of my life. I took a two-year sabbatical from the Japanese bank where I have worked for 24 years; it was a leap into the unknown. I have now enrolled in the Peace Studies and International Development at the University of Bradford in the UK. I want to bring my skills in project planning and management into the field of global peace building. I want to serve in a way that spreads compassion, understanding, and courage.
This path wonât be easy. But itâs mine. And itâs worth walking. And to you who are reading this: If youâre standing at a crossroads, wondering whether to follow your heart â itâs never too late to choose a new path.
